A swimmer was airlifted to hospital after being found ‘face down’ in a Workington pool.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called today, Thursday March 7, after the swimmer was discovered in the pool at the Washington Central Hotel in the town centre.
The air ambulance landed on the town’s cricket pitch and airlifted the swimmer to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
