Former Workington Reds forward Louis Potts has left Avro to join their NPL West rivals Clitheroe.
Potts started the season with Ashton United, having joined the Robins last summer from Avro.
However, he scored just twice in 16 appearances for Steve Cunningham’s side before leaving the club in pursuit of more first team football.
He subsequently re-joined his former club, who currently sit 11th in the Pitching in NPL West Division, six points off the play-offs and level on points with his new side.
Potts scored three times in 13 appearances for Avro, two of which came in a 4-3 victory at current leaders Leek Town in November.
Subject to ratification, the former Workington and Mossley forward will go straight into contention for his Clitheroe debut this Saturday when the Blues host Vauxhall Motors.
Potts was signed by Reds’ boss Danny Grainger during his first spell at the club when he had been released by Preston North End but he never held down a regular spot at Workington.
In that 2020/21 season he scored three times in pre-season friendlies but only managed five starts after that, with nine substitute appearances.
His only League goal was in a 5-2 home win against City of Liverpool.
