Cumbria will take centre stage on primetime TV this weekend in the BBC’s flagship show Countryfile.
Anita Rani and Matt Baker are on a road trip along the Hardknott and Wrynose Passes in the heart of the Lake District.
After experiencing driving some of the road together, Anita meets up with locals to get some much-needed advice on how best to tackle the winding passes and hear some of the vehicle mishaps that have happened over the years.
At Wastwater, Anita joins a local group of wild swimmers.
Matt meets a local farmer to hear how livestock is managed along the roads, before heading up the fells to check on the flock.
They will also meet a fell runner who uses Scafell Pike as her daily practice route and the pair pop in to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway.
The La’al Ratty, as it is affectionately known, runs from Ravenglass to Dalegarth Station near Boot in the Eskdale Valley.

The presenters explore the station at Ravenglass, including a sneak peek behind the scenes to see how the engines work.
Stuart Ross, general manager (visitor experience), Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, said: “What a pleasure to welcome Countryfile to the railway.
“It was a fantastic opportunity not only to showcase some of our unique heritage engines, but also to inspire people about a car-free alternative to exploring some of the country’s most epic countryside. We’re all looking forward to tuning in on Sunday night!”
The programme will be screened on BBC One at 6pm on Sunday 14 April and will be available on BBC iPlayer shortly after broadcast.
