Workington have moved their ECB National Cup game with Padiham back a week because of the bad weather.
Originally scheduled for this Sunday, April 14, it has now been rearranged for Sunday, April 21 – which will still be Workington’s first game of the season.
The Cumbria League should have started on April 20 but that has been moved on a week to April 27 because clubs are very much in the same position of having unprepared, rain sodden wickets.
Whitehaven are in the same competition, but a different group, and their game at Westhoughton has been also delayed a week to April 21.
Furness are still programmed as travelling to Foulridge in Colne this coming Sunday as are two other games in that particular group – Leyland v Golborne and New Brighton v Saddleworth.
Due to play on April 21 as well as Workington’s home game with the Burnley side Padiham are Egerton v Euxton and Ribblesdale Wanderers v Droylsden.
In Whitehaven’s group, games scheduled are: Denton St Lawrence v Tonge; Cherry Tree v Birkenhead Park; Highfield v United Stars; Horwich RMI v Bootle and Prestwich v Orrell Red Triangle.
