Tonight’s trails at Oulton were cancelled because of flooding.
Too much water on the moss made the decision inevitable as hound trailing becomes the latest sport in Cumbria to be affected by the dreadful weather.
Football, rugby league, speedway and cricket have all had their issues with waterlogged pitches, tracks and wickets.
Oulton has already staged two Championship meetings this season with good turn-outs and some exciting racing.
The action now switches to Low Place on Saturday with four races, starting at 1pm with the seniors to be followed by pups, open non winners and open restricted.
The Aspatria/Wigton Area will hope the weather relents and they are able to stage their next scheduled meeting on Sunday when the seniors get things underway at 1pm, to be followed by maidens, pups, puppy maidens and veterans.
