
The critical care team from the Great North Air Ambulance Service responded to seven incidents in Cumbria over the weekend.
The charity’s helicopter was called out five times and its rapid response vehicle was called out twice.
Incidents included:
On Saturday, at around 3.10pm, the critical care team was called to a collision in the Muncaster area.
Two doctors and a paramedic on board the helicopter arrived on scene at 3.35pm. The team worked alongside the North West Ambulance Service to assess and treat a patient. The patient was airlifted to hospital for further treatment.
At Crosthwaite, near Keswick, the helicopter was called at around 12.20pm to a collision and a casualty was airlifted to hospital by our team for further treatment.
On Sunday, the helicopter was called to Windermere at around 6.40pm to reports of a burns incident and the casualty was airlifted to hospital.
