A Scout unit set up during the Covid-19 pandemic is looking for new members.
Reivers District Explorer Scout Unit, for youngsters aged 14 to 17, have taken part in everything from hikes, water activities and camp (some having their first camping experiences) to taking part in Dragnet, a 50-year-old evade capture challenge set in the Lakes which puts core scouting skills like, navigation, teamwork and survival to the test.
One of its members attended the recent World Scout Jamboree in Korea and two members are about to go to Norway with the Scouts.
The group is based just outside Carlisle and can offer Scouts opportunities from Duke of Edinburgh Awards and Escape Rooms, to learning sign language and helping in the local community.
