Title rivals Northside and Parkside both won their Premier Division clashes in the West Cumberland Sunday League.
Northside, smarting from a comprehensive League Cup defeat to Parkside in mid-week, can gain compensation by winning the League title.
They are currently two points behind their rivals but have two games in hand and Parkside have only one game to play.
However that final game is at home to Northside this Sunday when a win would keep the Cleator Moor side in contention, five points clear but knowing their Workington rivals have two games left in which to snatch the title at the death.
In their latest games both were successful – Northside, 4-1 at home to Bluebell and Parkside 3-1 at home to FC Cosmos.
Max Litt, Jamie Glover, Tommy Whitehead and Owen Birkett scored for Northside with Greg Quayle finding the net for Bluebell.

Callum Birdsall was Parkside’s goal hero with a hat-trick with Hadley Davies responding for Cosmos.
In the other Premier Division game Dearham were 7-3 winners at Moresby with goals from Danny Dryden (3), Jack Brown (2), Danny Manchester and Brett McMillan. Taylor Richardson, Keelan Leslie and Tor Pattinson found the target for Moresby.
In Leaue Cup Tier 2, Sun Inn won 2-1 at Deer Orchard with goals from Dan Pearson and Mally Graham. The hosts were on the sheet through Sam Wright.
In the same section Thornhill were 6-3 winners against Butchers with goals from Harry Hodgson (2), Sean Pollen, Ryan Byrne, Owen Bell and Gareth Humphreys.
In League Cup tier three there were wins for both Flimby Social and Salterbeck with 12 goals spread across the two games.
Flimby beat Seaton 5-2 with goals from Brandon Birks, Karl Fillingham, Adam Kirkbride, Ashley Dixon and Keelan Steele. Dan Graham scored both for Seaton.

Salterbeck were 4-1 winners against Swan as Andrew Hall knocked-in the lone goal for the visitors.
