Gosforth victorious against Aspatria

Gosforth travelled to Aspatria last night in the Cumberland County League Premier Division and they came away with a 4-0 victory.

Kieran Tomlinson and Joe Dorgan were both on target for Gosforth and Owen Woodburn grabbed himself a brace.

Meanwhile in the Premier Division, Whitehaven Miners Social and Wigton Harriers played out a 1-1 draw. Miners’ goal came from Alan Cardy and Louie Elliot netted for Wigton.

In Division One, Dylan Robinson scored the only goal of the game to help Dearham United beat Windscale Reserves 1-0.

Liam O’Pray was on the score sheet to help Bransty Rangers to a 1-1 draw against Mirehouse, whose goal came from Bradley Dryden.

Elsewhere, Maryport Athletic beat Cleator Moor Celtic Reserves 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ciaran Booty in the Ken Glover Memorial Cup.

Saturday’s fixture in the Cumberland County League, all 2pm kick off:

Division One

  • Cockermouth v Bransty Rangers 
  • Dearham Utd v Mirehouse

Divisional Cup Group B

  • Whitehaven Miners Social Development v Windscale Reserves 

Ken Glover Memorial Cup

  • Gosforth v Unisun Athletic

Whitehaven Cup semi-final

  • Keswick v Whitehaven Miners Social
  • Maryport Athletic v Wigton Harriers
