Skipper Dav Symington took the lion’s share of awards at Workington Reds end-of-season presentation night.
But Symington, who was the club’s leading goal-scorer – and second top marksman in the NPL Premier Division – was pipped for Goal of the Season by his own goalkeeper.
Jim Atkinson won that particular award for a late headed goal at Borough Park against Atherton Collieries.
But it was Symington’s night as he collected his silverware hat-trick – the Top Goal Scorer trophy, the Supporters’ Player of the Year and the coveted Players’ Player of the Year.
The first team’s Young Player of the Year award went to Ceiran Casson while the Reds Development squad’s Player of the Year was Chad Grisdale.
On a day when so many Workington stalwarts said their goodbyes after sterling service to the club there were special awards to Conor Tinnion, Scott Allison and Sam Smith.
Manager Danny Grainger’s departure after his second two-year stint was also marked by a special presentation.
