Some old friends from the NPL West Division, and from National North days, are likely to be in opposition to Workington Reds next season.

An unofficial projection of what the NPL Premier Division will look like for 2024/25 has been issued, following the various play-offs.

Leek Town and Prescot Cables, who were members of the West Division have gained promotion through the play-offs along with Hebburn Town and Stockton Town from the East Division.

Blyth Spartans have dropped down from National North while Mickleover could be transferred over from the Southern League’s Central Division.

It will be a 22-strong League with Macclesfield likely to be the strong favourites for the title after they lost to Marine 2-1 in yesterday’s NPL play-off game.

The full list of competing clubs is likely to look like: Ashton Utd, Bamber Bridge, Basford United, FC United of Manchester, Gainsborough Trinity, Guiseley, Hyde United, Ilkeston Town, Lancaster City, Macclesfield, Matlock Town, Morpeth Town, Warrington Rylands, Whitby Town, Workington, Worksop Town, Mickleover, Blyth Spatrtans, Hebburn Town, Stockton Town, Leek Town, Prescot Cables.
