West Lancashire League side Cleator Moor Celtic are looking for a new manager to take them into the 2024/25 season.
Stuart Shaw, who moved up from the reserves to take charge of the first team six months ago, has left the role.
In a short statement a club spokesman said: “Cleator Moor Celtic football club would like to announce they have parted ways with manager Stuart Shaw.
“We would like to thank Stuart and his team for everything they have given the football club over the last six months.”
Shaw said: “Good luck to everyone associated with Cleator Moor Celtic and all the very best in the future. I would like to add a special thank you to those who have backed me and fully supported me through this great experience.
“It’s been a massive learning curve on and off the field. My players, my coaching staff – I will be forever thankful for everything you have given me.”
Shaw was actually Celtic’s third manager of the season when he stepped-up last October to take over the role.
Brian Dawson had started the campaign in charge but resigned and Dene White had a short spell holding the reins before being forced to stand down because of increased work commitments.
In the season just finished Celtic finished 9th of 17 in the West Lancs League’s Premier Division winning 14 and drawing three of their 32 games. Celtic had been relegated from the NW Counties North Division the previous season.
Celtic have not said whether they have a replacement in mind or whether they are to advertise the position.
