A cyclist has died after he came off his bike on the A595 in West Cumbria.
Emergency services were called to the scene, on the main road near Winscales, Workington, at around 9.51am.
Initial reports suggested the incident involved a car and a bicycle.
Cumbria police said: “Emergency services attended and established no collision had occurred, and that the cyclist had come of his bike.”
Despite efforts of emergency services the man, in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
