Greystoke Castle is to host a dog show over the May bank holiday.
Eden Animal Rescue is hosting the fundraising event on Sunday May 26 – and all dog owners are able to enter.
The charity is working to raise £500,000 to fund to create a new kennel block at their centre at Moorlands Head Farm in Newbiggin, near Temple Sowerby.
Chair of Eden Animal Rescue, Chris Cheetham said: “We are very grateful to Greystoke Castle for allowing us to host our event at their beautiful venue.
“We would like to thank all those who are helping organise and who will attend our dog show, which will offer something for all animal lovers to enjoy.
“We have set ourselves the target of reaching the £500,000 target this year, and we have had donations from across the country. However, we still have a long way to go.
“Every donation is so welcome, and we are grateful to individuals and organisations that have supported us so far.
“There are also opportunities for businesses to sponsor a kennel, which would be named after their firm, providing a lasting thank you seen by everyone who visits Eden Animal Rescue’s centre.”
Dog owners will be able to enter their pooches into a number of classes, which start at 1pm, for £2 per entry including:
