Carlisle have been unable to book a sub pro for their Cumbria League game today against Furness at Edenside.
They will be without their professional and captain Michael Slack who was injured playing for Cumbria on Sunday.
It seemed an innocuous movement in the field but he felt his knee pop and was taken to Furness General Hospital in Barrow and missed Cumbria going on to complete their win.
Slack said: “I need an MRI scan to know the full extent really. It’s not great as it stands though.
“The club tried for a sub pro but had no luck so were unable to find one for the Furness game.”
Carlisle have won their last three games after an opening day defeat to Keswick,
Furness had not won until last Saturday when they had a big victory over Cleator.
