A Cumbrian council is asking for feedback about residential care for adults in its area.
Westmorland and Furness Council – which spends £22.4m a year on caring services for almost 800 adults in nursing and residential homes – is carrying out a review.
The money it spends is paid to independent social care providers, and the support received ranges from essential daily living care and medication provision through to more complex care for those requiring dementia and nursing support.
The council is asking for feedback about what works well, what needs to be improved and what is most important in giving people a good experience of residential care.
An online questionnaire is available to complete until July 21. It is available to fill out here.
The questionnaire is part of a larger project, gathering the views of users, social care providers, councillors and other organisations within the sector.
