Jordan Little has become the third Workington Reds player to re-sign for the new season.
The 28-year-old defender follows skipper Dav Symington and Cieran Casson onto the registration sheet ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Little re-signed for Reds last season following the retirement of Dan Wordsworth and impressed over the second-half of the season.
He had been signed by former manager Danny Grainger during his first spell in charge when seasons were interrupted by Covid.
He had joined Carlisle City this season but was persuaded to return to Borough Park where he proved himself a determined and solid figure in the back four.
After re-signing for the club Little said: “Staying was a no-brainer really. I’m a local lad wanting to play at the highest standard possible and I’m looking forward to a fresh start with the new manager coming.”
In his Workington career he has made 26 starts and is keen to add to that under Mark Fell.
The new manager said: “Jordan’s experience of the NPL last season will stand him in good stead this time round and he’s another local player that understands the value of the club to the town and the importance of us representing it properly.
“Jordan’s a bit of a throwback in terms of a defender and I like that. He’s brave, strong and enjoys defending.”
As well as Reds and Carlisle City, Little has also played for Cleator Moor Celtic, Gretna 2008 and Penrith.
