A man arrested on suspicion of murder after a death in Workington on Christmas Day remains on bail, police said.
The 33-year-old victim was found dead in his home on the town’s Clay Street and a 38-year-old man was arrested on Boxing Day.
In January, police said enquiries to ascertain the exact circumstances of the victim’s death may take some time.
They added there were no other individuals relating to the investigation.
Police were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service shortly after 5.55pm on Christmas Day.
Officers cordoned off Workington’s South Watt Street, just beyond the junction with Oxford Street to the junction of North Watt Street, Fisher Street and Falcon Place on Boxing Day as part of the investigation.
