
A Lake District paraglider was airlifted to hospital after being injured over the weekend.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called at around 4.20pm on Saturday to the incident at Loweswater.
The doctor and paramedic on board the aircraft arrived on scene at 4.40pm.
The charity said: “They worked alongside the North West Ambulance Service to assess and treat a patient and then airlifted the patient to hospital.”
The air ambulance was also called out to a sports and leisure incident at Rowrah in West Cumbria at around 10.40am on Saturday, a medical incident in Millom at 6.30pm on Saturday and a collision on the A6 at High Hesket on Sunday at around 2.05pm.
