A sinkhole has appeared in the middle of a Lake District road.
Drivers are being asked to avoid Church Street, in Ambleside, while highways teams respond.
Westmorland and Furness Council said the area has been made safe and that they are assessing the cause to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
While the route is accessible, people are asked to avoid the area to prevent disrupting the teams.
