Perry Singleton, the Whitehaven forward on dual registration with Barrow Island, won’t be able to play for either until July.
Singleton was allowed to go to the Islanders in the National Conference Second Division on dual registration.
He had been injured and on the comeback trail so games for his former community club seemed a natural step to ease his way back.
But in the South Cumbrian derby on May 18 against Millom, Singleton was sent off for contact to the head. The Islanders lost the game 18-14.
The National Conference League management committee handed out a six-match suspension as a result.
However a Barrow player, on dual registration with Millom – Connor Terrill – was found not guilty of punching in a Division Two game with Saddleworth on May 11.
He and Saddleworth’s Freddie Wilson had been sent off, and both players were cleared by the management committee.
Kells were at home to Thatto Heath Crusaders on May 11 when the visitors’ George Hough was sent off for lifting a player off the floor.
He was banned for eight games – four of which are suspended until December 31 – while the remainder have been reduced by one so that he has to serve a three-match suspension.
