Workington Comets Supporters Club has raised almost £3,500 after a break-in at the Northside track.
The track was raided in the early hours of last Wednesday, May 29, and thousands of pounds-worth of equipment was stolen from a storage shed.
The Official Workington Comets Supporters Club set up a Gofundme page to try and help the club raise funds to replace the stolen equipment.
It set a £2,000 target but has now raised almost £3,500.
A spokesman said: “When we launched the fundraising page last week we were not expecting this! The support has been nothing short of incredible.
“We would like to say a massive thanks to every person who has donated.
“We are planning to present the Comets promotion with the donation at the next home fixture on June 15 against Plymouth.
“The donations will go a long way to replacing the stolen items and also buying upgraded replacement equipment to help with the ongoing process of developing the GT Tyres Arena.
“We are leaving the fundraiser open until the meeting on June 15.”
Promoters Andrew Bain and Steve Lawson said: “Workington speedway promotion would like to thank every single person for the donations received in the funding page setup by the Workington Comets Supporters Club.
“We cannot thank everyone enough for your support after the break-in.”
Anyone with information about the break-in can call Cumbria police on 101.
