Arrest after masked men raid Carlisle home and ram police vehicle in VW Golf

A man has been arrested after a burglary at a Carlisle home and a police car was rammed by fleeing suspects.

The incident happened today, June 5, at around 1.45pm on Holmrook Road.

Three men left the area in a VW Golf via Orton Road.

They had driven at police officers and the vehicle rammed a police vehicle on Warwick Road. The men got out of the vehicle and ran down Warwick Road towards Melbourne Park.

One man was arrested and is currently in police custody.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and anyone who saw two men in the area of Warwick Road and Melbourne Park.

The two men are described as being around 5ft 10in, wearing all black, balaclavas and gloves.

No one was injured during the incident.
