
A man has been arrested after several chickens were stolen from the Whitehaven area.
Eleven hens were stolen in March and this weekend, more were stolen from Hensingham.
Copeland Police said: “However this time the suspect wasn’t quite so lucky. PC 3157 arrested a male under suspicion of three counts of burglary.
“Following the arrest, a search was conducted where the missing chickens were located.
“The stolen chickens were recovered and returned to their home. The suspect has been placed on bail whilst the remaining evidence is gathered.”
