A bin lorry has caught fire during a collection round in Carlisle.
No one was injured in the incident, in the Warwick Road area, which happened today, Friday, June 14.
Cumberland Council said: “Emergency services escorted it back to the depot where the waste has been tipped and extinguished. The vehicle is under observation for the time being.”
It added an investigation would be conducted next week, and its health and safety officers have been notified.
