Creighton head coach Richard Liddle will be at Twickenham later this year to represent Cumbria for a national event that recognises the work put in by club volunteers.
Richard was chosen by an independent panel to be Cumbria’s representative at the prestigious event, a selection that brought pride for the Creighton club.
As well as running the Creighton first team, Richard and his wife Hayley are instrumental in running the club’s thriving junior section, helped by a small army of volunteers.
The Creighton club has just hosted and event put on by Cumbria RFU which honoured all the volunteers in the county that make rugby happen.
In an event sponsored by Honda Richard was presented with his own award by Cumbria RFU president Arthur Perie.
A club spokesman said: “Everyone at the club is aware, and grateful, of the tireless work Richard does on behalf of Creighton, and would like to congratulate him on this fully deserved honour.”
