Kendal Town’s lateral move to the Northern League has grudgingly been accepted by the Mintcakes – who have now seen their fixtures for the new season.

They start on Saturday, July 27 with a trip to Redcar Athletic and then kick off their home programme three days later on Tuesday, July 30 against Guisborough Town.

Naturally, supporters in particular have been looking for the Cumbrian derby clashes against Carlisle City and Penrith.

Kendal will host City on Tuesday, August 13 and visit Penrith on Tuesday, August 27.

The return game with Carlisle City is on Saturday, November 23 while they will host Penrith on Saturday, December 14.

Without any extensions because of inclement weather, Kendal’s final League game of the season should be on Saturday, April 19 at home to Whickham.

Penrith will start the season July 27 at home to Birtley while Carlisle City travel to Tow Law.

City follow up in mid-week on July 30 with another away game, this time at Newcastle Benfield while Penrith are at home again, this time to Seaham Red Star.

Carlisle City’s first home game is on the second Saturday (August 3) when they entertain Boro Rangers while Penrith have yet another home game on that day against Whickham.

The derby clash between Carlisle City and Penrith is a traditional Christmas cracker as they meet on Boxing Day at Gillford Park.
