Workington RNLI’s volunteer crew was called out today after a fishing boat was reported as being in difficulty off the coast of Allonby.
Workington’s lifeboat crew were called at around 1.20pm and launched all-weather lifeboat Dorothy May White.
The 24ft fishing boat, with two people on board, had engine failure.
For safety reasons, the coxswain made the decision to tow the boat in to Maryport Harbour.
