
Egremont is facing mobile phone signal disruption following a phone mast fault in the area.
People using the O2 network are unable to make calls, send text messages or use mobile data.
Other mobile phone networks using the same mast are also affected, including Tesco Mobile and Vodafone.
Engineers have been sent out to identify the fault – but the firm have warned that service may come and go until it is fixed.
O2 is updating its website hourly on the status of the fault.
An O2 spokesman said: “We are aware that some customers in the Egremont area may be experiencing intermittent issues with their service, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
“Our infrastructure partner, Vodafone, is aware of the issue and working as quickly as possible to resolve it.”
