
Labour has won the Harraby North ward in this week’s by-election.
The by-election was called following Cyril Weber’s death earlier this year.
Justin McDermott won the ward with 455 votes.
The Conservative Party’s Robert Currie won 165 votes, Sarah Wills, of the Liberal Democrats, won 70 votes and Peri Conner, of the Green Party, won 62 votes.
There were nine spoiled ballot papers.
Turnout was 16.64%. The size of the electorate was 4,567 and the number of ballot papers issued was 761.
