A mystery Cumbrian person has won £196,000 on the lottery.
Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, confirmed today that it has received a claim for the £196,646.70 prize from a ticket which matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number and which was bought for the EuroMillions draw on June 4.
The ticket still needs to be validated, said Allwyn, and then it will be up to the winner if they wish to public.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said, “We are absolutely delighted that this lucky ticket-holder has come forward and claimed their prize. What an incredible opportunity this life-changing win presents.
“It’s now our job to support the ticket-holder through the process – we support each and every National Lottery winner in the same way – and we will do this as quickly as possible to ensure they can very soon begin to enjoy their life-changing win.”
Players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket.
