Police have arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of attempted false imprisonment.
It follows reports of two incidents in recent days in the Dalton Road and Abbey Road areas in Barrow.
Police said enquiries were ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incidents and the man remains in police custody.
