Workington Comets will use rider replacement on Friday night when they return to the track at Edinburgh in the Cab Direct Championship.

The Comets have lost number two Tate Zischke for the rest of the season after he crashed on his Belle Vue debut two weeks ago.

Workington travel north of the border with a big lead from the home meeting (61-29) and will expect to pocket the aggregate point, vital if they are to continue their push for the top four and a play-off place.

Skipper Craig Cook pulled out of the Ben Fund Bonanza on Sunday on his home track because of a back injury but expects to be back in action at Edinburgh.

The Comets are currently lying fourth at the moment while Edinburgh are bottom of the table with only two home wins so far.

Next Friday, July 26, the Comets visit Scunthorpe and will be at home to Poole the following day – both key meetings against top four rivals.
