
St Bees RNLI will be holding a celebration later this year to mark the 200th anniversary of the RNLI.
The volunteer crew are inviting everyone to join them at the Seacote Hotel in the village on October 12.
A spokesman said: “Come and join the crew and their families to celebrate 200 remarkable years of the RNLI. Dress to impress and let’s eat, drink and dance the night away!”
Tickets are £50, which include a three-course meal, wine on the table, live music from Soul Survivors and free entry into a raffle, drawn on the night.

Lifeboat crews at St Bees have been saving lives at sea since 1970 and received six awards for gallantry. The station operates a B class Atlantic 85 lifeboat, Joy Morris MBE.
