Lucy Pittaway, the contemporary artist, is delighted to announce the opening of her seventh solo gallery and her second in the Lake District.

The gallery, on Lake Road in Bowness-on-Windermere, has officially opened its doors.

Bowness-on-Windermere, a popular tourist destination known for its picturesque landscapes, provides an ideal setting for Lucy’s unique and colourful artwork.

Nestled on the shores of Windermere, the largest natural lake in England, Bowness attracts visitors from around the world, drawn by its scenic beauty, charm, and many outdoor activities.

The new gallery promises to complement the town’s rich artistic and cultural heritage, offering locals and tourists a refreshing artistic experience.

Lucy says: “We have been looking for a suitable place to open another gallery in the Lake District for several years.

“Bowness is a place I have spent much time in since my childhood as part of my family is from that area. It means a lot to me opening there.”

Julie Hampshire, the new gallery manager, adds: “It’s an honour to manage this beautiful gallery in such a vibrant and picturesque location. We aim to create a welcoming space where visitors can enjoy Lucy’s artwork and find inspiration.”

The gallery, in the heart of the town centre, is surrounded by a host of local attractions including the World of Beatrix Potter, quaint cafés, boutique shops, and delightful eateries, making it a perfect addition to the town’s diverse offerings.

The new space aims to enhance Bowness and provide an inviting atmosphere where art lovers can immerse themselves in colourful artwork and merchandise.

Lucy’s artwork, known for its distinctive themes and bright colours, often depicts the landscapes and landmarks of the Lake District, North Yorkshire, and the North East.

And don’t forget the famous sheep! Coupled with dogs, Highland cows, and lots of other animals, skylines, and other subjects too.

For more information about the gallery and upcoming events, visit Lucy Pittaway’s website or follow her on social media for the latest updates.
