Dan Adu-Adjei is the latest arrival at Brunton Park after signing a season long loan deal with Carlisle United from Bournemouth.
The 19-year-old forward joined Bournemouth in 2021 from Fulham and made his senior debut for the Cherries in a 3-2 FA Cup win over QPR last season. Previous to joining Fulham he had spent four years in the Brentford Academy.
He has shown a good eye for a goal because he scored 25 in the 2021/22 campaign for Bournemouth’s under-18 side and scored another 25 for their development side last season before joining Leyton Orient on loan.
With the League One side he played 11 times and hit the back of the net once.
Carlisle manager Paul Simpson told the club’s official website: “He’ll bring something totally different to the forward options we’ve got at the club. He’s prolific in development football, he’s got a great goalscoring record.
“It isn’t his first loan move, so he’ll have an idea of what to expect. He had a loan to Leyton Orient for the second half of last season where he’ll probably admit he didn’t play as many minutes as he would have wanted. I’m hoping he’s learned a lot from working with Richie [Wellens] at Leyton Orient.
“He’s just had a fantastic trip to LA with Bournemouth’s first-team which is why we’ve had to wait to get him in with us. I’m really pleased he’s with us and I think he’ll be a great addition to the group.”
He will wear squad number 14 during his loan spell at Brunton Park.
