Jonty Gorley (Ben Challis)

Whitehaven have named their three latest loanees in the side to entertain Widnes for Championship action on Sunday.

The three recruits enable coach Jonty Gorley to announce a squad of 18 players to take on the Vikings, emphasising just how short they were on numbers.

Sam Campbell and Ben Hursey come in from fellow Championship strugglers Halifax Panthers, while Mac Walsh has joined from Toulouse Olympique.

Apart from Cumbrian Noah High (Warrington) none of the other recent loanees are involved amd Whitehaven have acquired the new trio until the end of the season.

Widnes coach Allan Coleman has named his 21-man squad to face Whitehaven at the Ortus REC and new additions Ryan Lannon and Nathan Wilde come into the 21-man squad. Rhodri Lloyd misses out with a minor issue.

Whitehaven: Ross Ainley, Sam Campbell, Jake Carter, Lucas Castle, Rio Corkill, Will Evans, Edene Gebbie, Lachlan Hanneghan, Noah High, Ben Hursey, Ryan King, Jake Maizen, Owen McCarron, James Newton, Perry Singleton, Curtis Teare, Mac Walsh, Huw Worthington.

Widnes: Jack Owens, Ryan Ince, Matt Fleming, Joe Lyons, Tm Gilmore, Matty Fozard, Sam Brooks, Jordan Johnstone, Liam Kirk, Max Roberts, Liam Bent, Sam Wilde, Mike Butt, Lloyd Roby, Keanan Brand, Lucas Green, Ryan Lannon, Nathan Wilde, Zac Bardsley-Rowe, Dan Murray, Brett Bailey.
