
Numerous shoplifting offences have been dealt with by police in Workington this summer.
Allerdale Police said it has dealt with dozens of offences in recent months with some involving prolific offenders.
Many of the offences also resulted in breaches of Criminal Behaviour Orders imposed on the offenders by the courts.
Some of the latest incidents are as follows:
On the September 6 a female pleaded guilty at court to four shoplifting offences and four breaches of her Criminal Behaviour Order. This female has been remanded in custody until October 4 when she will appear before Carlisle Crown Court.
On September 3 a male pleaded guilty at court to an offence of shoplifting and a breach of his Criminal Behaviour Order. The male received a four month prison sentence.
On September 3 a male pleaded guilty at court to two shoplifting offences. The male was given a community order and a rehabilitation activity requirement.
On August 20 a male pleaded guilty at court to an offence of shoplifting. The male received a one month prison sentence.
