A Barrow man has been arrested on blackmail charges connected with missing pets.
Brandon Woolveridge, 25, of Melbourne Street, was charged with blackmail following an investigation into the exploitation of owners of missing pets.
He appeared before South Cumbria Magistrates Court this morning and has been remanded into custody to next appear at Preston Crown Court on October 25.
