A man is due to appear in court today after police found around £500,000-worth of cocaine in a car.
Officers stopped a white Volkswagen Golf near to Junction 40 on the M6 on Wednesday.
Their search of the vehicle found around 5kg of cocaine.
Anthony Ali, 42, of Fairfield Grove, Bradford, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a class A drug and is due to appear before South Cumbria Magistrates Court today, October 18.
