Eggs and a glass bottle were thrown at a house in Wigton, just hours after a couple was verbally abused by four young men.
A man, who was in the company of a woman, was verbally abused by four young men between St Cuthbert’s Close and Lidl on October 25 between 1pm and 3pm.
At 2am the next morning, the eggs and bottle were thrown at a house on Orchard Road, causing damage.
Police said the incidents were believed to be connected and are investigating it as hate related public order and criminal damage.
