Kevin Evans’ Workington loft tops Cumbria Combine

The Workington Victoria loft of Kevin Evans was the top one in the Cumbria Combine by a fair distance.

The Combine has produced a League table of points winners over the 2024 season and Kevin was 32.5 clear of the second.

He topped one Cumbria Combine race and his consistency earned him 10 diplomas.

The Combine give-out their points and diplomas over 11 race – 10 old bird and one young bird – and are based on the first eight positions in each race.

Kevin, who still races as Evans and Abraham incorporating his old race partner, the late Wille Abraham earned 130 points.

He was followed by: A. and K. Young 97.5; P. Kirkwood 82.5; A. Graham and co 82.5; Varty, son and grandson 60; D, Harrison and son 57.5; B. Irving 52.5; A. Bromley and co 47.5; R. Mitchell 45; Martindale and Lawman 32,5; Rodgers and Benn 30; G. Fallows 30; R. Hodgson 30; J, Easterbrook 30; G. and M. Burns 27.5; McLuckie bros 25; Nolan, Hetherington, Coultas and Easdon 22.5; Hodgson and Saldert 20; Mr and Mrs Walters and son 17.5; I. McGarr 17.5; D. L. T. Fallows 17.5; I. and D. Wood 15; W. McGrady and son 12.5; Dempsey, son and Reay 12.5; Wilson and Barrie 12.5; L. Silverwood 12.5; C. Curly 12.5; J, Devlin 10; Wilson, son and Johnston 10; Cottier and Patrickson 10; Dobson, son and grandson 7.5; Brown and Davidson 7.5; Fullard and Murning 7.5; G. and M. Harris 7.5; G. Bradley 7.5.

The Cumbria Combine and Cumbria Region presentations will be made on December 14 at the Union Jack Club in Workington, from 2pm.
