
The final round of the Marras and Arras Speed Competitions ranking series took place at St Begh’s Social Centre in Whitehaven.
Jack Pollard rose to the occasion, claiming the series glory in a repeat of the week seven final against Nathan Lowrey.
Jack took a commanding lead by going 2-0 up in the race to three. Nathan then fought back to level the game at two all and take it to a deciding leg.
Despite Nathan’s best efforts it was Jack who came out victorious, winning the final leg in just 13 darts.

On his return to Marras & Arras Harry Vaughan claimed victory in the U55 average series with a 3:0 victory over Joshua Broatch.
Organisers would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Open Series winner Jack Pollard & U55 average series winner Daniel Hodgson on their respective victories.

Meanwhile round eight of the Cumbria Darts Men’s Superleague saw both the Marras and Arras with home fixtures at Moffat’s, Cleator Moor.
The A team faced The Royal of Penrith and fielded a three-man team of Jack Pollard, Jimmy Clucas and Jason Connery.
The B team took on The Old Young Uns of Workington and opted for a four man team of Liam Campbell, Brett Lowden, Simon McCall and Nathan Lowrey.
Marras A claimed a 6-3 win whilst Marras B, despite some tight games, lost 6-3.
