A minor landslip has forced a north Cumbria rural road to be closed.
Emergency work will begin on Monday, November 18, on the road between Gaitsgill and Raughton, near Dalston.
Cumberland Council estimates the work will take five days, weather permitting.
Work will take place Monday to Friday, from 8am to 4pm, with no weekend work planned.
For the duration of the project, there will be a full road closure. A diversion route will be in place, and the road will be closed outside of the designated working hours.
Please be aware that access in the area may be disrupted at times, and some delays are expected.
While vehicle access for residents and businesses will be maintained whenever possible, the council asks that people discuss specific access needs with on-site staff. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be fully maintained.
