A Barrow youngster is making waves in the world of road racing as he heads to Spain to begin intensive training for the 2025 season.
Travis Shaw, 10, is a seasoned competitor despite his young age. Racing since he was just five years old, he has steadily climbed the ranks in the demanding sport.
Starting his journey on a 40cc mini moto with six-inch wheels, Travis has progressed through various classes and now competes on a full Grand Prix-spec chassis with 12 inch wheels and a 70cc 6-speed two-stroke engine.
His dedication and talent have already earned him multiple race wins and lap records at circuits across the UK.
Travis currently races in two different junior British Mini GP road racing championships, FAB RACING UK & British Minibike Championships, competing in over 50 races annually.
His achievements and relentless determination are paving the way for a bright future in motorsport.

With the UK racing season concluded for 2024, Travis and his dad Dan are now focusing on training in Spain.
They travel every other weekend to participate in elite academies, honing his skills on Spanish circuits to prepare for the challenges ahead.
The rigorous training is part of a detailed six-year plan designed to develop Travis into a top-tier racer.

The Shaw family credits the support of Travis’s sponsors for making this ambitious journey possible.
Dan said: “Without their backing, the dream of following such a structured and demanding framework would remain out of reach.”
