Keswick is gearing up for this year’s Victorian Fayre – and there’s lots on offer for all the family to get into the festive spirit.
Taking place on Sunday, December 1, the fayre will include Santa’s grotto, entertainment, 25 charity stalls selling Christmas goodies and Taylor’s fun fair.
The fayre, in Market Place and Packhorse Court, will be officially opened by Andy Airey MBE, of 3 Dads Walking, at 10.30am.
Father Christmas will appear during the morning and will meet only those children who have been good throughout the year!
Entertainment will set off with a rousing series of seasonal melodies played by bands in Market Place. MCs Chris Briggs & Neil Airy will introduce the players and directing the visitors to what will be happening and where.
Acts include Committed2Rock, Hunter Hall School Choir, Keswick Amateur Operatic Society, Cockermouth Mechanics Band, BJamba, Keswick School band, Cockermouth Ukulele Band, Greystoke Handbells and Belfagan.
There will also be the usual raffle drawn in the afternoon and the prizes announced in the Market Place – the prizes are donated by local organisations and businesses.
