West Cumberland Choral Society

If you want to soak up some authentic Christmas spirit, the West Cumberland Choral Society warmly welcomes you to a Christmas celebration in the sublime setting of St Bees Priory on Friday December 13 at 7pm.

There will be an array of carols and seasonal songs, followed by Part 1 of Handel’s Messiah (the Christmas Story), featuring a string ensemble accompaniment.

The choir will be augmented by local tenor and bass singers and we are delighted to also host Lowca Primary School choir, who will sing a selection of Christmas favourites.

The choirs will be conducted by Margie Simper and the audience will be invited to take part in well-loved congregational carols, accompanied by Frank Bowler on the keyboard.

The concert will conclude with the Hallelujah Chorus.

Festive refreshments will be served at the end of the concert when raffle prizes will be announced – proceeds to go to Hospice at Home West Cumbria.

Tickets £10 (students £5, under-18s free) are available on the door.

The West Cumberland Choral Society is a non-profit making registered charity –Charity No. 513280.
