Big guns to go head-to-head in Sunday County Cup

The big two in the west of the county will go head-to-head in the third round of the Sunday County Cup.

Holders Parkside must travel to West Cumberland Sunday League champions and current leaders on February 2 next year.

It’s the stand-out tie as both east and west teams were kept apart at this stage of the draw.

Parkside beat Northside in last year’s all-west final but have started this season poorly with four early defeats on their record.

They have started to show better form since then.

In the east of the county two top sides were kept apart. Currock, on a good winning sequence, will host FC Houghton while County Cup specialists Inter Pirelli have a home tie against St Nicholas Arms.

The full draw is:

East

  • Longtown v Qzone; Inter Pirelli v St Nicholas Arms; Currock v FC Houghton; Scotby v Denton Holme.

West

  • Northside v Parkside; Salterbeck v Whitehaven AFC Development; Moresby Rangers v Kings Arms; Lowca Pirates v Bluebell.
