
A vacant property was set alight this week – and police are appealing for witnesses.
Cumbria police have launched an arson investigation after a fire at the commercial premises on Duke Street on Wednesday, November 27.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service were called at around 6.25pm to the unoccupied commercial unit undergoing renovations.
Following enquiries a man was arrested and has been interviewed, said Cumbria police.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the cause of the fire or anyone that has further information.
