Thankfully all matches went ahead this time round.
Maryport Athletic have a final to look forward to in 2025 after a 6-1 victory against Whitehaven AFC Reserves in a Conway Cup semi final.
Goals for Maryport came from Ethan Weir (2}, Ciaran Booty, Stephen Cameron-Moir, Ellis Short and Ryan Porter while Robbie Watson netted for Whitehaven.
Meanwhile, Keswick welcomed Windscale Reserves to Fitz Park as these two sides met in the quarter final of the Conway Cup.
A hat trick from Bradley Fearns and a double from Alfie West gave Keswick a 5-1 win and earned them a home tie against Cockermouth in the semi final next weekend. Kieren Fraser was Windscale’s goal scorer.
In the Premier Division, top of the table Unisun Athletic were 8-2 winners against Aspatria.
Tom Hill bagged himself a brace for Unisun with their other goals coming from Dillon Burns, Ellis Dickinson, Shane Dorward, Stuart Steel, Ryan Scott and Liam Graham.
Dan Pearson and Shaun Smith both found the back of the net for Aspatria.
Cockermouth are on equal points with Unisun and are only in second place on goal difference after they earned themselves a 3-1 win against Wigton Harriers helped by goals from Luke Graham (2), and Kyran Bertram.
Ryan Studholme scored Wigton’s goal.
An Aaron Hart double gave Whitehaven Miners Social a 2-0 win against Cleator Moor Celtic Reserves.
In Division One, Workington Juniors built on their lead at the top of the table after they managed to edge past Unisun Athletic Youth Development 4-3 in a tough encounter.
Jack Nixon, Sam Bates, Elias Demetriou and Harry Watson all netted for Workington. James.
Lee Reynolds bagged himself a brace for Unisun as his fine scoring form continued, with the other goal from Connor Gregory.
Second place Bransty Rangers earned a 5-0 win against Cockermouth Reserves with goals coming from Chris Armstrong (2), Harvey Law, Stewart O’Pray and Spike Canavan.
Bradley Colaluca and Callum Wilson helped third place Mirehouse to a 3-0 win against Dearham United.
Whitehaven Miners Social Development were 3-0 winners at Silloth after Calvin Rowell, Luke McStraw and Ben Stanaway all found the back of the net.
